Muraqabah

Spiritual vigilance — the continuous awareness that Allah is watching.

Muraqabah is the station where Ihsan becomes a permanent state. It is living every moment knowing that Allah is Al-Raqib — the Ever-Watchful. The scholars described it as guarding the heart, the tongue, and the limbs against anything that would displease Allah — not out of fear of consequences, but out of love for His gaze. Muraqabah is the closest a servant can come to Ihsan as a daily practice.

"And He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing." — Quran 57:4

"Worship Allah as if you see Him; if you cannot see Him, know that He sees you." — Sahih Muslim
