Deeper Understanding

Sabr is not passive waiting. It is strength under pressure, faith during delay, and obedience during hardship. The scholars divided Sabr into three types: patience in obeying Allah, patience in avoiding what Allah has forbidden, and patience during trials and difficulties. All three are required of the believer.
